Replace Your Accountability Partner & Find a Success Partner
An accountability partner can really help you reach the next level of success. It’s a known fact that when you publicly commit your goals to someone, that you have a 65% chance of completing them. However, when you have a specific accountability partner, it can increase your chance of success to 95%! What type of partner you ask? A success partner! Let’s deep dive into why you need to replace your accountability partner and find a success partner instead.
Heavily Motivated & Disciplined
The right success partner will be heavily motivated and in a position that reminds you of your future. You want to partner with someone that’s already taking leaps towards their future and stepping outside of their comfort zone. They’ve ideally been where you are and can guide you on transitioning to the next level. This person doesn’t move off of motivation alone, they’re highly self disciplined and don’t need someone to hold them accountable.
Excite You to Propel Forward
A great success partner should excite you to propel forward towards your goals. They’re progress oriented therefore, the important factors aren’t only about if you did what you were supposed to. Instead, they focus on how much progress did you make to get closer to your dreams and goals. For example, an accountability partner would simply ask you, “Did you work on your business today?” A success partner would ask you to break down the processes of what you did, while working on your business. That would be celebrated and in result, excite you to gain the energy to keep moving forward. It’s a big difference as success partners understand the process is what matters; not the gap of how far you may be from the end goal!
Uncovers Your Blind Spots
A great success partner will uncover your blind spots by helping you fix what you can’t see and teach you what you don’t know. You cannot fix what you can’t see and you don’t know what you don’t know! This is where a success partner shines because they can be your mirror to the mistakes you’re making while on your journey. Additionally, they can expand your horizons on the things you don’t know and enlighten your knowledge. This is the biggest factor on creating change within yourself and growing!
Push You to New Heights
Success partners push you to new heights unconsciously and consciously! When you’re constantly surrounded by someone that’s taking strides and achieving things you’d never imagine… it impacts you. Studies show, that you’re more likely to attempt something that scares you, once you see someone do it or accomplish it. Furthermore, a great success partner will push you regularly to step outside of your comfort zone and reach greater heights.
A Sounding Board
We all need a sounding board at some point in our lives, and a success partner will be that and more! Because they’ve been where you are or are on that journey with you, they’ll understand your challenges and pain points. Success partners are wonderful sounding boards for all the things that your family and friends won’t understand. Sometimes the people closest to us, just don’t get it because they aren’t on the same journey! However, your success partner will thoroughly understand and be able to give you accurate feedback on how to resolve challenges and issues.
Partner in Crime
Being an entrepreneur or embarking on something new can be quite lonely. This is why having a success partner is great because they’re your partner in crime. They’re right there with you as you go through the many trials and tribulations. Although you have family and friends, a success partner understands the process. They can actively listen without needing much, if any, clarification. Which is great to have during the tough times when you need someone that simply gets it.
Being held accountable is good, but having a success partner is great! You want more than just the surface level of accountability, you want someone that’s going to do more than just motivate you. What’s your thoughts on success partners? Let me know in the comments!
