Be Prepared For What You Pray For

be prepared what you pray for

Happy Monday, ASSASSINS! As I write this (while at work, shh!) I’m super tired from attending my cousin’s wedding last night. I can barely keep my eyes open, so it’s safe to say we all had a great time! Surprisingly enough, I don’t have a specific topic to talk about today. So I’m just going to write my thoughts and see where it takes us. Bare with me! Lol

A few weeks ago, I watched a YouTube video by Necole Kane where she talked about not being prepared to receive the blessings she prayed for. It got me wondering if I too had an instance where I wasn’t prepared to receive the very thing I wanted. The nerve of me to pray, wish and hope only to block it once it came my way! I had to reevaluate the things I pray for and have a different outlook on what life will be like once they’re presented.

For instance, my prayers every night consists of thanking Him and asking for a overall successful balanced life. After watching Necole’s video, I realized that some of the blessings I thought I didn’t receive yet were already delivered! The thing is, my thought on what life would be like once the blessing came was completely different. For example, I asked Him to bless me with successful businesses that provide value to everyone allover the world. Although I’m not where I want to be yet, I see that He’s already delivered this very prayer I say every night.

It’s like this. . . you want success, here you can have it BUT you have to work for it! I thought my blessing would be answered and instantly one day I’d have success, just like that. Once I changed my viewpoint, I realized success is a personal opinion and anyone can have it! It just boils down to what your definition of it is. Personally, I see success as being able to quit my job, make lots of money doing what I love, retire my Mom, own tons of property and leave a long legacy for my great great great great grandchildren. To obtain those goals, it requires me to WORK and not expect the best right out the gate.

Essentially, all the great things that we ask for don’t come easy. I want to maintain a healthy lifestyle however, working out and eating clean all the time doesn’t come easy for me. That’s also why I don’t have my goal of abs. . . yet. I always prayed for a healthy, committed, happy relationship where we could travel the world together. I’ve been blessed with that, but it took years of work to establish that foundation. I want this blog to become huge and provide you all with value, but in order to do that I have to keep putting in the time to write.

I see now to only pray, wish and ask for things that I’m completely prepared for. Which means being ready to receive ALL that comes with it; good and bad! I don’t need to have all the answers, (since I never do) but be mentally motivated to handle any difficulties that may come with the blessing. I’m going to end this with a quote that’s been in my mind this entire time of writing. . .  “More money, more problems.” LOL!
